K-Light Solar Lantern

Developed specifically by PiSAT for use in Africa, the K-Light is a reliable, rechargeable solar lantern designed to stand up to the harshest environments. Approximately the size and weight of a can of soda, the unique combination of its solar-charging battery and bright, energy-efficient light-emitting diodes (LEDs) makes the K-Light unlike any other product available today.

The K-Light is also capable of charging mobile phones.

FEATURES:

• Lantern and flashlight
• 2 power settings: low (8 LEDs) and high (16 LEDs)
• Durable carrying handles that rotate 360º, locking every 30º for 12 different positions
• 16 bright white LEDs (100,000 hours of light)
• Rechargeable 7.2v, 1.6_Ahr NiMH battery (lasts more than 3,000 charges)
• Lifespan: 10 years (full daily use) or lifetime (recreational and/or emergency use)
• 1 Shatter-resistant .75 watt solar panel
• Lightweight, 0.62 kgs.
• The K-Light Cell Phone Charger can charge the following mobile phones: ZTE C88, Motorola C139/C118, and any mobile phone that charges via a mini USB tip. A few examples of the phones that charge via a mini USB tip are the Motorola L6 and the Huawei T155.

Members have 10 years of experience installing solar power systems in urban and rural areas of Rwanda.

Murika has the following capabilities:

• Solar system installations in both existing and new schools
• Electrical wiring for lights, plugs, panels, etc.
• Importing, storing, and transporting equipment
• Staging (preparing equipment, transportation, and install site)
